Jared Walker

Jared Walker’s work focuses on the underlying violence and tension that exists within mainstream

American culture. While his paintings begin with a personal narrative, through a process of spontaneity and

abstraction, they evolve to express a new visual dialogue open to interpretation. His current body of work

uses the human figure as metaphor for the human condition, examining how the human soul fits into the

twenty-first century. Walker graduated from the University of Utah and most recently was included in the

UTAH 17: Painting, Sculpture and Installation annual juried exhibition.
